How it works
- AgreementConfidentiality and rights are settled in writing before any work starts. You are named as sole author from the outset.
- InterviewsRecorded sessions built around a question set we send in advance. This is where your phrasing, examples and opinions are captured.
- Voice and outlineWe build a voice profile from the transcripts and your existing writing, then map the material into a chapter outline for approval.
- DraftingChapters are written and delivered in batches. Anything we could not source from the interviews is flagged as a question rather than invented.
- Revision and handoverTwo revision rounds, then handover of the final manuscript and every working file. Nothing about the engagement is published or referenced by us.
Common questions
Will anyone know I used a ghostwriter?
Not from us. Confidentiality is a signed term of the engagement, and we do not list ghostwritten projects in a portfolio, a case study or a pitch. The only person who can disclose the arrangement is you.
How much of my time does this take?
Most of your involvement sits in the interview sessions and the review points. Sessions are usually an hour or two at a time and scheduled around you. Beyond that, you are reading drafts and giving notes, not writing.
How do you make it sound like me and not like a writer?
The interviews are recorded, so we work from your actual phrasing rather than a summary of it. We also build a short voice profile covering sentence rhythm, vocabulary and the things you would never say. Early chapters are delivered first specifically so you can correct the voice while it is cheap to correct.
Who owns the copyright?
You do. Copyright and all rights in the manuscript transfer to you on final payment, and the agreement states it explicitly. We retain no claim to the work, no royalty and no residual interest.
What if I disagree with how a chapter turned out?
You give consolidated notes and we rewrite it. Two revision rounds are included as standard, and structural problems caught during the batch reviews are handled as part of drafting rather than counted against your rounds.
