Amazon KDP Publishing

Kindle and paperback setup done properly: files, metadata, categories, pricing and previewer checks.

KDP is simple until it rejects your file

The dashboard looks straightforward, then the interior fails review, the cover is the wrong spine width, the categories are already full, or the royalty rate is half what you expected because of one setting. Fixing it after release is slower than getting it right first.

A full KDP setup checked in the previewer before you press publish

We prepare Kindle and paperback files to the current Amazon requirements, complete every metadata field deliberately, and review the result in the Kindle previewer. Everything happens inside your own KDP account.

What you get

  • Kindle interior file
  • Paperback interior and cover
  • Category and keyword research
  • Complete listing metadata
  • Pricing and royalty configuration
  • Kindle previewer checks
  • Author Central profile setup

How it works

  1. Account reviewWe check your KDP account, tax interview and payment details are complete, since an incomplete account blocks payment later even if the book is live.
  2. File preparationKindle and paperback interiors are prepared to current specification, and the paperback cover is built to the trim size and spine width your page count produces.
  3. Listing buildTitle fields, description with permitted formatting, contributors, categories and keywords are researched and entered, not left at defaults.
  4. Pricing setupRoyalty option, territory rights and list prices are configured with the thresholds explained, so you know why each price is set where it is.
  5. Preview and publishThe book is checked in the Kindle previewer and the paperback proof before release, then submitted and confirmed live.

Common questions

Do you need my Amazon login?

No. We work through the access KDP itself provides, or in a screen-share session with you, and you keep control of the account. Your tax interview and banking details are entered by you and never shared with us.

Which royalty option should I choose?

The higher Amazon royalty tier applies only within a set price band and carries a delivery cost based on file size, while the lower tier has no band. Which nets you more depends on your price point and file weight, so we calculate both for your specific book and show you the numbers.

Can I do Kindle and paperback together?

Yes, and it is worth doing because the formats link on one product page. The paperback needs its own interior at print resolution and a cover wrap sized to the final page count. We prepare both from the same source so they stay consistent.

What is KDP Select and do I have to join?

It is the Amazon exclusivity programme, which adds promotional tools and page-read income in return for not selling the e-book elsewhere for the enrolment period. It is optional. We explain the current terms and the cost of giving up other stores, and you make the call.

Can you get my book ranked in a category?

No one can promise a ranking, and we do not. What we do is research which categories your book genuinely qualifies for, use the keyword fields deliberately, and make sure nothing in the listing is left blank or default. Ranking follows from sales and relevance, which are not ours to guarantee.

Tell us where your book is right now.

An idea, a half-finished draft, or a manuscript waiting to be published. We will tell you what the next step costs and how long it takes.
