Book Marketing
A launch and ongoing promotion plan built around your listing, your audience and a measured budget.
Publishing is not the same as being found
A live listing sits in a catalogue with millions of others. Without a plan, the only readers who see it are the ones you personally told. Most authors either do nothing after launch or spend money on ads with no way of telling what worked.
A plan with a budget, a calendar and a report
We fix the listing first, because promotion sends traffic to a page that has to convert. Then we run launch and ongoing activity across the channels that suit your book, with spend and results reported monthly in plain numbers.
What you get
- Listing and description review
- Launch plan and calendar
- Author email sequence
- Social content for launch
- Paid promotion setup
- Review-request workflow
- Monthly performance report
How it works
- AuditWe review the listing, description, categories, pricing and cover against the reader who is meant to buy it, and fix what is losing them.
- PlanChannels, budget and a dated launch calendar, agreed with you before anything is spent. You know what runs, when, and at what cost.
- AssetsEmail sequence, social content and ad creative are written and designed around your book rather than a template.
- RunCampaigns go live and are adjusted on performance. Budgets are capped where you set them and nothing is scaled without your say-so.
- ReportMonthly reporting on spend, traffic and the metrics each platform makes available, with what we would change next.
Common questions
Can you guarantee sales or a bestseller ranking?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. Sales depend on the book, the market and the reader, none of which are in our control. What we control is the listing quality, the targeting, the spend discipline and the reporting, and that is what we commit to.
How much should I budget for ads?
Enough to gather usable data before you judge the result, which usually means a modest daily spend held steady for several weeks rather than a large one-off push. We agree a cap with you and never exceed it. If the numbers say the ads are not working, we tell you to stop rather than spending your money to look busy.
Do I need an email list before launch?
It helps a great deal, because it is the one audience no platform can take away from you. If you do not have one, we set up the capture and the sequence so the launch starts building it. It will not be large at first, and that is normal.
How do I get reviews?
By asking readers in the right place at the right time, which is what the review-request workflow is for: back-matter prompts, follow-up emails and outreach to genuine readers in your subject. We do not buy, trade or incentivise reviews, because every major store bans it and removes the listings that do it.
When should marketing start?
Before the book is live, ideally. Cover, description and categories are marketing decisions, and pre-launch is when an audience can be warmed up. That said, a book already on sale can be relaunched, and we often start there.
